Who We Are

Township Equality is a grassroots nonprofit just getting started — and we're proud of every step we've taken so far. We're building something real, from the ground up, right here in Washington Township. Here's where we are today: • We have an active Facebook page and a private Facebook group where community members can connect, share resources, and support one another. • We hold regular meetings open to anyone who wants to get involved. • We've attended local events to show up for the LGBTQIA+ community and make our presence known. • We're actively planning our own events — coming soon! • We've built relationships with community partners across the region. • We maintain local resource guides to help LGBTQIA+ youth, adults, and families find the support they need. We may be new, but our commitment is deep. Every connection made, every resource shared, and every meeting held is a step toward a more inclusive Washington Township.

Heather W.
Co-President

She works as a paraeducator with middle school students with developmental differences, focusing on helping them navigate challenges and celebrate their strengths.
